Get a feel for the Louisiana bayou!
The premium Louisiana wallpaper will help to enhance the interior of your house or premises, and this is true whether you have a large or small space. In the latter case, it is usually a good idea to limit yourself to one wall or use another wall décor in addition. You can even fit a botanical wallpaper pattern into cramped corridors, small bathrooms or kitchens. If you use it on an entire wall, you will add softness to slightly larger living rooms or dining rooms. In the bedroom, on the other hand, you can create a cosy and mysterious southern atmosphere. You can also achieve interesting effects by wallpapering an office or... a restaurant.
The Louisiana wallpaper will bring the atmosphere of a dark garden associated with old wooden mansions. The motif is inspired by the flora and fauna of the Gulf of Mexico area. The wallpaper's pattern is wild and exotic and, above all, free of the cloying themes.
You will find some useful information below.
What to combine Louisiana wallpaper with?
When it comes to a wallpaper inspired by the Louisiana bayou, wood in all its forms takes on special significance. Wooden floors and furniture, with the wallpaper applied to the entire wall, should create the impression of a vast yet cosy space reminiscent of the mysterious southern floodplains. Of course, Louisiana, like any dark botanical wallpaper motif, can also be combined with wood panelling or ceramic tiles.
The dominant wallpaper colour is a muted, warm green on a dark background, complemented by white, browns and shades of orange and pink. Therefore, the best complement will be beech, ash or oak wood, possibly stained white. A bold decision may be to use walnut, mahogany, rosewood or wenge, which are much darker and will therefore contrast less with the wallpaper. However, with the right choice of elements and the right size of the room, it is possible to achieve a very intense and atmospheric old-style interior in this way.
Add leather upholstery or natural fabrics. The latter preferably in lighter shades of green, orange and pink or beige broken up with black. You can try using textiles with different textures, thick weaves and even geometric patterns. Dark wallpaper with floral and animal patterns will go well with metallic elements. Mirrors, mirrors or stylised lamps combined with the Louisiana pattern will add an elegant touch to the interior. Don't forget the lush flora!
For which interior style does the Louisiana wallpaper fit?
BY FOXES wallpaper is versatile and will suit most interiors. However, lovers of colonial interiors as well as eclectic and maximalist interiors should pay attention to it first. The Louisiana wallpaper can also introduce vegetation and a strong, dark accent to a boho-style space. In combination with lighter elements, you can also easily fit it into more contemporary spaces.
How much wallpaper I need? How to measure a wall?
Draw the wall on a piece of paper. Start by measuring the height - measuring from floor to ceiling in several places, especially if you are dealing with unevenness. Each time, plot the measurements on the drawing. Then take the largest value and add a 5 - 10cm allowance to it.
Next, measure the width of the wall, i.e. from one corner to the other. As with the height, measure it in several places - such as around the ceiling, middle, and floor, plot the dimensions on the drawing and take the largest value. BY FOXES wallpaper is automatically increased by about 5cm in width, but if you have curved walls, you can add a further 5 - 10cm allowance just to be safe. It's always a good idea to have a little more wallpaper rather than less.
Order your wallpaper by entering the largest values plus stock in the appropriate fields when ordering. After placing your order, you will receive a simple visualisation of the wallpaper layout on your wall for your approval. If you have a particular wish to highlight an element of the wallpaper - e.g. you want a lion just above your bed, please indicate this in the comments to your order (this is included in the basic price of the wallpaper). If you wish, you can also order the wallpaper in a personalised colour or slightly change the size of the elements (for an additional charge agreed individually).
If you need to wallpaper a wall with window, door or other openings; a wall with bevels, recesses, etc. or adjoining walls, contact BY FOXES → to arrange the combining of patterns on individual walls.
You can also order wallpaper in a roll and adjust the pattern yourself. Calculate the number of rolls you need by dividing the wall area by the roll area.

Can I put up wallpaper without a professional? Can I do it myself?
Of course! FOXWALL non woven wallpapers and FOXWALL PeeL&Stick self-adhesive wallpapers can easily be laid by yourself, even without experience. They are some of the easiest types of wallpaper to install.
With non woven wallpaper, the adhesive is applied directly to the wall and not to the wallpaper, which makes the job considerably easier. This wallpaper is rigid, does not stretch or wrinkle, and is easy to fit and cut. All you need to do is prepare a smooth, primed wall, stock up on basic tools (level, knife, roller, squeegee) and follow the instructions step by step.
Peel&Stick wallpapers, on the other hand, simply act like thick stickers - easy to apply and peel off if necessary. All you need to do is make sure they are applied evenly. Take a look at the instructions to find out more.
FOXWALL wallpaper installation instructions
Non-woven and Peel&Stick wallpapers from the FOXWALL series are very easy to install. In short, it looks like this:
Prepare tools
A level, pencil, segmented knife, ruler, squeegee and optional ladder, and in the case of wallpaper on non woven backing in addition: glue, paint roller, brush, sponge and clean water.
Prepare wall
Remove old coatings, patch cavities, sand, dust off. The wall must be primed, smooth, clean and dry.
Prepare wallpaper
In the case of an individual order, the wallpaper will come already cut (britches) and ready for installation. Just make sure that everything fits together before you put it on the wall. In the case of wallpaper from a roll, match the pattern and cut the wallpaper to britches with a sharp knife.
IMPORTANT! Before you start cutting or gluing anything, check the entire wallpaper to see if it conforms to the order and has no manufacturing defects (e.g., if the patterns on the individual bricks seamlessly blend together, if all the bricks are in the same color scheme, if there is no discoloration or deformation or dimensional differences greater than 1%). If something does not match, advertise the wallpaper before installation. Remember that once the wallpaper has been modified (cutting, installation, etc.), it is not possible to claim manufacturing defects.
Bonding
Let the wallpaper dry
For approx. 24-48 h. No draughts or heating, preferably at 18-22°C.
Simple, isn't it?
